He holds an MAS in Medical Physics from ETH Zürich, focusing on Bioimaging and DECT CT-spectroscopy. His Master’s thesis was on SEQCT and DECT based bone volume fraction measurement. Wili completed an MSc in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Bern, majoring in Biomechanical Systems, and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering at Hochschule Luzern, specializing in fluid mechanics. He’s currently a Research Associate at IRM University of Zürich, developing a DECT model for bone density measurement, and a Research Assistant at ARTORG Center, University of Bern, working on virtual implant testing and biomechanics. Earlier roles include Biomedical Engineer at Nowak Engineering GmbH, where he led medical device development, and a voluntary teaching position in Mongolia. He has experience as a Teaching & Research Assistant, Mechanic, Research Assistant in fluid mechanics, and various student apprenticeships. Wili co-authored papers on topics like the thermal conductivity of bone and micro-finite element analysis of trabecular bone. He is proficient in German (native), English, and has basic skills in French. Wili is skilled in multiple operating systems, programming languages including Python and R, engineering tools like Abaqus, and office software. His Master’s and Bachelor’s theses focused on bone biomechanics and the development of a bionic surf fin, respectively.
